Why I Made an Easy Version of the Lighthouse Word Search for Kids
When I first put this puzzle together, I loaded it up with 25 tricky words hidden in every direction — forward, backward, even diagonal. It looked great, but a few of my younger readers (and one very honest parent) told me straight up: it was too hard.
So I went back to the drawing board and built a version made specifically for kids in the 8–12 age range:

- Words run only left-to-right — no backward spelling, no diagonals
